The wantana band is a handwoven accessory which serves as a symbol or protection for the path. The woven thread in the center represents the sacred path, and the beads sewn to the edge, called pini, made from ancient seabed shells, represent the protection of the light.

 It can be used as a crown, bracelet, tie, hatband or chin strap. It is also be used to tie up your despacho cloth to carry your Pachamama offering to the ceremonial site.
